The rarest versions of Toyota Supra MKIV

Toyota Supra MKIV is without doubt one of the most iconic and desirable JDM cars ever made but there are few very rare versions made of this amazing automobile.

Toyota Supra TRD 3000GT

To celebrate the Supra’s debut in the 1994 JGTC season, Toyota Racing Development produced a road-legal version of the competition car dubbed the 3000GT wearing the same widened and wind tunnel-honed bodywork as the new GT500 class super-touring Supra.

Few interesting facts about TRD 3000GT:

– 35 examples ever made, each with a specially numbered VIN plate that re-classified the car

as a TRD 3000GT rather than a Toyota Supra.

– TRD body kit widens both front and rear fenders by 50mm.

– TRD only modified the exterior of the car, engines were left untouched.

1 of 1 Top Secret Toyota Supra

Built by legendary tuning company Top Secret, this Supra has a twin turbo (HKS GT2835) 5.0L V12 1GZ-FE originally from a Toyota Century generating around 930hp with a help from a nitrous injection system.

After it was built, Kazuhiko “Smokey” Nagata was determined to break the 200 mph barrier and had the Supra shipped to England in 1999. After several attempts on the A1 expressway, he reached 197mph before being arrested and deported shortly afterwards.

In 2008, this Top Secret Supra hit a top speed of 222.4mph on the Nardo circular test track in southern Italy.

1 of 1 Solar Yellow Toyota Supra SZ

This 1998 automatic, naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE model is probably the rarest factory-built one-off Toyota Supra with Solar Yellow paintwork and the Aerotop option. Solar Yellow paint was only sprayed onto cars destined for the Japanese domestic market and being an entry-level SZ trim, it has 17-inch wheels, fabric upholstery in black, manually-adjustable seats, dark silver garnish, and four speakers for the audio system.
